Spectrum has a new course to demonstrate the correct use of fire extinguishers. Staff will be able to have hands on experience using our fire stimulator.

The fire simulator is brought to your premises in Dubai. This means that the staff will be withdrawn for a short time from their duties.

Each session will consist of the following:

•  Classroom session with a video.
•  Practical Fire extinguisher training using the SAM module.
•  A simple group discussion to ensure satisfactory course knowledge.
•  A certificate will be awarded to successful participants.

The cost per person is Dhs 250.00 for a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 people.

The session should last approx. one to one and half hours. The course is designed to minimize down time of staff yet maximizes the fire extinguisher experience with a practical hands on training.

The course is designed for the general workforce to instruct personnel in the correct use of fire extinguishers and fire blankets. This will ensure that the delegates have a comprehensive understanding of fire classification, the four types of extinguishers and their correct application.

 At the end of the course the trainees will be able to demonstrate their understanding of the following:

1. The cause of fire

2. How fire spreads.

3.Actions to be taken to prevent or control it.

4.The correct selection and use of fire extinguisher relevant to the risk involved.

Fire type 1     Spill fire...............Fuel oil, petrol, kerosene, paint etc.

Fire type 2     Small container fire.........Paper bin, dustbin etc.

Fire type 3     Electrical fire..................Fuse box, wall plug, distribution bo, etc.

A certificate, issued by SAM will be presented to all delegates who show they have satisfactory completed the course.
